Today I have a very pretty Peacock image stamping plate BP04 to show you that I was sent for review from the Born Pretty store.
The images are really pretty and picked up well. I used NI Silver Foil. I decided to show off the stamp with a base of peacock colours and a multichrome seemed the perfect option. I chose Dance Legend Phobos – a stunning multichrome with duo chrome glitters and flakes! In different lights it shifts from turquoise to purple to a deep teal. It really is gorgeous but I don’t recommend driving while wearing this! To the guy in the car behind me at the lights who seemed to love his car horn rather too much all I have to say is DIRECT SUNLIGHT WAS HITTING MY NAILS!
I have admired gradient nail art but always thought it was unachievable by someone like me! Well looking at my recent wow prism nails I couldn’t help being a little curious what they might look like in a gradient. Triple holo sparkliness? So I thought I would have a little try. I used Through the Glass as a base and layered over it with the purple Just Another Star and denim toned Beautiful Lie. This is a photo of it in shade as I think it made the colours look so pretty!
And this is it glowing in all its glory in full sunlight!
Not perfect but I was pleased with the result! I don’t think I will be happy till I own them all! And include them all in a holotastic gradient!
See my previous post for details of where to purchase Dance Legend.
Dance Legend Wow Prisms are something really rather special. They are packed with chunky holographic flakes and look like full coverage glitter. BUT. They dry to a completely smooth and glossy finish and most importantly remove as easily as any creme polish! No hours spent weeping in the bathroom with bits of soggy cotton wool and foil attached to your fingers as you do your best impression of a dalek!
This is a beautiful turquoise polish called Through the Glass and I absolutely it!
Perfectly opaque in two coats and consistency was a dream. I then decide a bit of stamping was required! Obviously! Through the Glass made me think of the sea so I chose an arty waves image from Moyou London sailor plate 06 and used Nails Inc Silver Foil. This was difficult to photograph as the silver stamping blended in with the silver flakes of the polish so I had to take the photo in shade. I think darker polishes would work better in the future but I was a bit chuffed with the result ( being very much a stamping novice! )
